Premises Liability

Premises liability places responsibility on a property owner  for injuries sustained by persons on that owner's property.  An example of a premise liability injury is a slip and fall injury, but there are others where the property owner had not exercised responsibility for safety.  One of the first steps in a premise liability case is it must be proven that the property owner knew of the dangerous condition in the first place, and failed or neglected to repair it.

Some examples of premise liabilities are slip and fall, broken steps, poor or dim lighting in an area that deems it dangerous environment, lead poisoning, being bitten by a dog, elevator or escalator accidents, etc.
